About Surreal Café

Surreal Café was born from a simple belief: the best part of someone's day shouldn't be an afterthought.

Founded by Corey Souza — a hospitality operator with 16 years across New York City's most demanding venues — Surreal is Miami's art-immersive specialty café, where great coffee meets rotating local art, genuine hospitality, and spaces designed to make you feel something.

Growing up Portuguese in Rhode Island, coffee was always more than a drink. Moving to New York at 20, then Miami in 2024, Corey carried that belief through every role — from citizenM Hotels to TAO Restaurant Group — and into this: a café concept built on the conviction that even the simplest things deserve to be done beautifully.
